Creator of Zero Trust · Former SVP Cybersecurity Strategy, ON2IT
John Kindervag is the creator of the Zero Trust security model. ON2IT had been working with him on the Zero Trust framework since approximately 2013, a relationship that was formalized in 2021 when he joined ON2IT as SVP Cybersecurity Strategy. He has since stepped back from that role and is now Former SVP Cybersecurity Strategy at ON2IT.
His work has been recognized by the U.S. National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, which identified him as a subcommittee member, briefer, and subject-matter expert in its 2022 Report to the President on Zero Trust, and by the World Economic Forum’s cybersecurity action group.
